{50mm; 1/60s; F1.4; ISO400; 05/29/09: Liz and I went to the San Francisco Symphony for a performance of Shubert and Berg, two German composers marking the beginning and the end of the romantic music era respectively.}
{50mm; 1/400s; F6.3; ISO100; 05/27/09: Taken in the back area of a great bar named Zeitgeist. It was rather pleasantly warm yesterday in the city on my day off. After meeting up with Liz for lunch, I grabbed a brew and warmed myself in the sun.}
{50mm; 1/40s; F1.4; ISO1600; 05/15/09: This was another interesting wire mesh sculpture at the DIA that was similar to the wire mesh sculptures in the De Young Museum.}
{50mm; 1/100s; F7.0; ISO100; 05/15/09: Another of Diego's frescoes, this one an obvious homage to the female. I really like the baby in the roots of the earth. Watch it the full image is big.}
{50mm; 1/250s; F7.1; ISO100; 05/23/09: This weekend Liz and I went to see two friends of ours, Jenny and Jason, get married. They had the ceremony on this overlook in a grove of trees with the Sierra Mountains in the distance.}
{50mm; 1/160s; F2.0; ISO800; 05/16/09: This man was dancing to Michael Jackson with quite a fervor. I thought each frame had no real sense of context, but the three together makes sense.}
{50mm; 1/100s; F1.4; ISO200; 04/04/09: Last of the fountain images, this one of the sun and some very funny looking fellows, which remind me of Muppets.}
{50mm; 1/60s; F1.4; ISO800; 05/16/09: I was in MI this last weekend for my Mom's graduation. We didn't have much time for anything else, but did manage to get down to Ann Arbor for a FOUND reading at The Yellow Barn.}
{50mm; 25s; F8; ISO100; 05/09/09: Taken from Bernal before the Kaboom! fireworks show. I took a long exposure and then rotated the camera on the tripod. If you look close you can see the two images, one with the Bay Bridge in the center, the other with the Civic Center.}
{50mm; 1/125s; F1.4; ISO800; 04/04/09: Taken in the Mission near 24th BART station. This mural has many Mexican heritage symbols, and I couldn't resist an Indiana Jones reference.}
{50mm; 15s; F8.0; ISO100; 05/09/09: One thing I love about living in SF is the free entertainment. This last weekend, KFOG put on a fireworks display at Pier 32, so Liz and I climbed up Bernal to watch the show. I will be posting a couple more, the hardest thing was getting the timing and shutter speed right.}
{50mm; 1/50s; F1.4; ISO1600; 05/07/09: Classic "only with the 1.4" shot. Liz, Ray, and I went to the SF Arts Master of Fine Arts final open studio exhibit. It was awesome. All I have to say is- Eddie Murphy shooting a flying calico kitty from his hands, riding a corgi, with Barack Obama shooting bunnies from his hands, in watercolor. It was in SOMA and this was the walk back to the car.}
{50mm; 1/200s; F10; ISO100; Flash-2/3e; 05/02/09: Taken during a misting in San Rafael. Liz's old place has a succulent garden, which is where all of thsee pictures come from. I really like how the flassh shows off the droplets.}
{50mm; 1/80s; F1.4; ISO800; 04/04/09: Taken somewhere in the Mission next to a mural wall. I like the shallow depth of field, and how the note just makes you fill in the details.}
{50mm; 1/40s; F1.6; ISO1600; 04/25/09: Taken from the balcony above Sophia's main cathedral area. Matt had just finished a song. I like how this picture pulls your eye very hard to the lower left. Super grainy due to the really low light.}
{50mm; 1/100s; F3.5; ISO400; 04/04/09: Sorry to those of you who have already seen this picture on my main blog. I just couldn't resist posting it here as it is such a fun picture.}
